Mohonk Preserve and Arm-of-the-Sea Theater are proud to present “CITY THAT DRINKS THE MOUNTAIN SKY!”
In this visually stunning 55-minute performance, a dynamic four-member cast brings dozens of characters to life through the artistry of mask and puppet theatre, accompanied by vibrant live music. Audiences of all ages are invited on an epic journey tracing life’s quintessential liquid from mountain top to city tap. With imaginative storytelling and striking imagery, the performance introduces a new generation of watershed stewards confronting the challenges of climate change and the vital work required to safeguard clean water, while celebrating both the wonder of water and our shared responsibility to protect it.
This production is made possible through the NYS DEC’s Hudson River Estuary Grants Program, the M&T Charitable Foundation, and the Bank of Greene County, as part of Mohonk Preserve’s Hudson River Watershed Education Project. We would also like to thank New Paltz Central School District for the use of the high school auditorium space to support this production.
